Bridal Tips:

The first question brides ask me is what the cost of their wedding flowers will be. This depends on the flowers chosen and how elaborate the decorations. It has been my experience that brides will spend a lot of money on many small things that don't get noticed. It is more successful to do a couple of large pieces with impact - really dramatic. For example: One tall spectacular arrangement instead of many little arrangements.

A bride should think about her size, colouring and personal style when considering her bouquet. A huge trailing bouquet will not look appropriate on a petite, paired down bride.

Always ask about the availability of the flowers which you prefer. If your preference is not available at the time of your wedding, show us a picture or two of the style you are looking for and we can suggest an alternative. We will strive to get as close to what you want as we can. Or better yet, leave it to us and we will choose what is fresh and perfect. Some flowers such as roses, lilies, snapdragons, trachyllium, and gerbera daisies are always available. On the other hand, flowers such as peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas and lily of the valley are seasonal with short windows (2-4 weeks) of opportunity.

A picture says a thousand words. We love getting clipping from magazines. These are clues for us that indicate the size, colors and types of flowers, and the style and shape of the bouquet desired.

When you come in for your consultation bring magazine clippings, pictures of how the bridal party will be dressed, colour swatches, or paint chips to match the fabric if swatches are not available. In short, anything that helps us create your vision.
